We're a Pillar in Richmond

Kindred Spirit formerly of Bridges Inc., a family owned an operated multi-cultural specialty shop that opened its doors in 1994. Bridges Inc. laid the foundation by becoming an authority offering a sense of Africa itself to all who would embrace its culture, wisdom, and aroma. Most people may remember their handmade Traditional African Incenses, which tantalized your senses, at either of our popular store locations on 6th Street Marketplace, Downtown Richmond, or at their booth at one of the many festivals. Bridges Inc. remained the staple for incense burners, teas, body products, cultural books, jewelry, and apparel until its closing 13 years later in 2007.

In 2009, Kindred Spirit LLC opened its storefront in the Arts District of Historic Jackson Ward located in Richmond, Virginia. It blossomed, offering a more spiritual connection of self with each customer focusing on a cultural balance of mind, body, and soul. Kindred Spirit likewise featured many local artisans, fair trade, novelties, and many of Bridges Inc. brand products. After serving the community for 7 years, in 2016 Kindred Spirit decided to transition online to capture a more diverse audience and to offer a convenient shopping experience for its customers. Kindred Spirit is back by popular demand with its e-store, vending at shows and festivals offering products with an overall goal to connect the mind, body, and spirit to bring about balance and shared interests that ignite the soul!
